Jim started out in music playing by ear, then in Highschool leaned the
note-names, chord spellings and how to read a Jazz Rhythm chart, which
is a simple way to sight-read but not as intense as Piano sight reading.
Jim learned that he could identify and remember notes and pitches with
great accuracy. For many years Jim felt that non-reading players were more
musically expressive, until the Nashville session players changed my mind.
They played GREAT and read like Hawks which gave a clear advantage.
To be a complete musician you need a teacher to guide your way.
Jim can be that teacher.
